William Burnett

Sir William Burnett M.D. KCB (1779 – 16 February 1861) was a British physician who served as Physician-General of the Royal Navy after 9 June 1832.

Although the title was later changed to 'Director-General of the Medical Department of the Navy' , he held that post until his retirement in 1855. In 1835 Burnett was also named as physician to King William IV.
